2025 Alton Miles for Meso Raises Over $25,000 and Unites Hundreds of Racers for Asbestos Prevention and a Cure

Calling all runners, walkers, and mesothelioma warriors! It’s time to lace up your shoes for a cause. The 17th Annual Miles for Meso Race is happening on September 20, 2025. This popular event, organized by Simmons Hanly Conroy, aims to raise awareness of asbestos-related diseases and inspire hope for finding a cure.

This year, we’re proud to introduce Penny Jo Major, the team captain of ADAO’s (Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization) Ban Asbestos Miles for Meso Team. Penny Jo is a fierce advocate for asbestos prevention and is eager to lead the team this year.

The event includes a competitive 5K race and a 3K fun run/walk, offering options for both fitness enthusiasts and those who prefer a leisurely pace. The Alton Miles for Meso 5K Race and 3K Fun Run/Walk promise a day filled with camaraderie, fitness, and dedication to an important cause.

In 2025, the Alton Miles for Meso event raised over $25,000 and brought together hundreds of participants. It’s not just a race; it’s a statement of solidarity against asbestos and its harmful effects. And with the ADAO launching new initiatives, we’re hopeful for an even bigger turnout this year.
